Brock's birthday was last Saturday. He has gotten so big and when he talks he sounds like a grown child, it's crazy. He had an awesome birthday he got a new "bike" (it's a tricycle that I can push) and new Guitar which he calls either a Bee-tar or a Gee-tar depending on the day. He has to be like dad and play his Guitar. He got a bubble blowing lawn mower, he still prefers the neighbors old one for some reason. His cousins gave in a baseball mit (x 2) 3 baseballs with 1 bat. I think they want him to play baseball what do you think?! The rest of his gifts were mainly clothes and sandals. We spent the day outside playing with his friends and watching his favorite cousin Riley play baseball at UVU.

Birthday
Gracee turned 4 today. Yes I said 4. It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital being induced. Actually it was 4 yrs ago yesterday I was being induced and 4 yrs ago today she was born at 8lbs 8 oz. I remember when she finally came out, what a relief that was. Looking at her for the first time, holding her for the first time. That is the most amazing feeling in the world, words can't even begin to describe. Here are some of my favorite things about Gracee.
*When she smiles her eyes smile
*Her laugh makes me laugh.
*Her curly hair, I can't help but pull on a lock everytime she walks by and say boing.
*She is constantly remembering to pray and makes sure we say our prayers constantly. She keeps me on track.
*The way she loves and plays with Brock. She tries to tell him what to do but he just does whatever.
*When she comes home from preschool she is always so excited to show me the prizes that she's made for me.
*She loves to sing songs. If we're watching a movie for the first time it doesn't matter that she doesn't know the song, she's still going to sing it!
*She always says please and thank you ever since she could talk. I love that she remembers.
Four years flew by like a cool breeze on a summer day. I hope the next four years take a bit longer to pass by.
For her birthday today we went to Kangaroo Zoo (blow up jump toys) we took her cousin Ellie and her 3 friends Maddi, Wyatt, and Taylor. They all had a blast and then we came back here to have a cupcake from her Princess Diamond Castle cupcake cake from Walmart. It turned out too cute.
This is Wyatt and Maddi eating cupcakes and ice cream with Gracee. I should say eating frosting with Gracee. Later on tonight we'll do our presents to her now that her dad is home and more cake and ice cream.

Still without a computer
So life without a computer. I have forgotten how much you really do rely on a computer for all the little things. But her I am at my mom's and updating my blog. Rust is finally back to work after a 2 month "maternity" leave. HA HA He was cleared today to do some light lifting and some rubber band work outs. We are definitely on the mend. Christmas is right around the corner and when Gracee was asked what she wanted, she told grandma (Kent) she wanted lights on her house. So guess what grandma did? Yep you guessed it she put lights on my house just for Gracee. She's the best! Brock is getting bigger and talking up a storm. He gave himself a yogurt bath last night and when I saw him he looked like a brand new baby that just came out of the womb. It was hilarious!!! When I get a chance I'll post the pics it's too funny! Well I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Little up date without any pictures
So I realize I haven't updated anything since April. There's a good reason for that. Our computer at home DIED!!! It finally kicked the bucket and I haven't had a chance at work to update. Meaning I haven't wanted to come early or stay late to update my blog. So here we go. Russ did graduate he was unable to find a job for this school year but had an interview for a new school going up in Saratoga Springs that will open fall of 2009. He's been really busy with the band. As many of you know Charley Jenkins (who Russ plays for) was on Nashville Star in June on NBC. He was the first contestant booted off. It was a coorporate decision rather than a jugde decision but non the less we've been very busy. They've opened for Lady Antibellum and Daryl Worley they are opening for Carolina Rain tonight and will open for Montgumery Gentry in Pocetello on Sept 21st I think. The kids are getting big, Brock finally desided he wanted to walk all by himself so for the past 1 1/2 weeks he's found new freedoms. His vocabulary is growing everyday. When he wakes up first thing he screams for Gracee, then he needs a drink and then wants cereal in a bag (Lucky Charms) He learned how to pick out the marshmellows early! He just throws the cereal out of the bag as he digs for more cereal. It's pretty funny. He says please and thanks, dog, meow, chicken, cocka-doodle-doo, candy, fish, no no and bad boy that's my favorite. Gracee is getting big! She starts pre-school in 1 1/2 weeks. Crazy! They grow so fast. Everyday she tells me she's going to pre-school today and I say another day so now she says "I go to pre-school another day mama?" She's too cute. She's really had a ton of fun this summer with all the neighborhood kids. They ride bikes, scooters, jeeps, and whatever else they can find. The neighbors just got a trampoline and she calls it a jumpaline and love to jump. I took her and Brock to Kangaroo Zoo (it's a inflatable jumping place) a couple of weeks ago and they had so much fun. Brock wasn't walking yet on his own so he had a blast just holding my finger and walking me around all the toys. I did put him on the little 0-2yr bouncer and he was a bit nervous but after a few minutes he desided it wasn't too bad. Gracee was running all over the place I had a hard time following her everywhere. She made some new friends there and just kind of played with them the whole time. She was going down huge slides and loving it. Back in June she had tried the slides and was fine on the first slide but got to the top the second time and cried. My niece who really wanted to go down the slide went up to get her. So I was shocked when she just kept going and going like it was no big deal. I am still working and actually working a lot lately it's been kind of slow. Hence, I'm updating my blog. Just a little FYI my mom is getting remarried. He's a really good guy from Payson and he just wants to take care of her which is nice. My life is not very exciting I really don't do anything without my kids so what they do I do and I love every minute of it. Hopefully one day I'll be able to put some pictures on here but I'm pretty sure I shouldn't download the Kodak program on to a work computer I just might get in trouble.

Brock's first haircut
Brock had his first haircut last week. He totally had a "Fo-Hawk". Not that it wasn't cute but I desided to buzz it off. He looks very handsome!
Gracee was supposed to go to school today with my niece for CTE class I have no idea what it means. I would guess something like child devolopment. She was ready to go with her Super Sleuths backpack, some cheap old thing I got for being a member of Scholastic. When we got there we were a day early! Carley, my niece, told me on Monday that she needed Gracee for Friday I wrote it down and everything. Well last night Rusty tells me that Carley stopped by on Tuesday to have him sign a waiver and she told him Thursday. So he made darn sure I remembered it was Thursday and not Friday with a couple of phone calls this morning. I knew last night that I should have called Carley but I thought I'll just take his word for it. Yeap, I won't be doing that again! So tomorrow we will go through the process again of getting her ready and HAVING to take the "Super Sleuths" back pack. If any of you watch the Disney channel Super Sleuths are the "new" Whinny the Pooh cartoons and she loves them. I'll post her pictures later. I'm still trying to figure this out and it won't let me load the pics below this text so I'll post this then post the pics!

We're finally done!
Russ finished his student teaching 2 weeks ago. No more tuition!!! And the search is on for a job in a high school teaching history and coaching baseball. My computer is still struggling so that's why there's so little on this blog. I was only able to get one picture to download so Gracee is the only one on here. I promise we'll be getting a new computer soon and I'll be more on the ball with the blogging, and picture sending. Brock will be 1 on the 18 th and he is still NOT CRAWLING!!! He's definatley putting in an effort which is good, but heaven sakes lets just crawl already! He hasix teeth and is working one 7 & 8 only two on the bottom and the rest are on the top, Poor little dude! We buzzed his hair off on Friday, he looks more manly now. After it was done Gracee said to me, "mommy Brock looks beautiful!" it was too cute. We're trying to teach her that boys are handsome so now she's a little confused and says she wants to be handsome too. |
